Las Pampas
A bit more than a week ago we made a bumpy landing with a small aircraft on a sandy airstrip in the middle of the Bolivian jungle (Rurrenabaque). From there we discovered the amazing wildlife of the pampas on a 3-day boat tour.

• You never guess where we found our first croissants and pain au chocolat in Bolivia … Indeed: in the jungle. There was an excellent authentic French baker!
• What do you do in a jungle town at night? We ended up in a karaoke bar with our travel compangnons our pampas guide Domingo.
• At the end of our tour we discovered the true meaning of RAINforest. We got soaking wet on our return trip!

La Selva (The jungle)
After the 3-day adventure in the pampas we decided to fully develop our survival skills in the selva of the national park Madidi. We tasted all kinds of jungle-fruit, discovered toxic animals (ants, mosquitos, bees) and plants, ate termites, saw huge tarantulas, parrots, the typical macaws, a snake, monkeys, hanging escargots, parkeets, a bunch of butterflies, the viagra tree (according to the natives it works only if you take a cold shower afterwards … otherwise your whole body swells up), drank from a liana, made traditional paint from leaves, …
